# On August 28, an anti-abortion law in Missouri will go into effect, which will require that “the life of each human being begins at conception” and “abortion will terminate the life of a separate, unique, living human being” be written on brochures handed out to women seeking abortions. Missouri already has a 24-hour waiting period for a woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy. [StLToday.com] as seen on www.thefrisky.com

This isn't surprising to me, because MO is in the Bible Belt. It's not deep into it, it's more at the tail end, but it's still the Bible Belt. However, what IS surprising to me is that I have not heard a single thing about this law before tonight and I live in Missouri. I don't remember voting on this, I don't remember anyone mentioning this, or anything else. I would've voted against it! I hope that these women who have to endure this will tear up those brochures and whatever else in the faces of those that give them out. What a stupid law. Perhaps some women's rights groups should be alerted about this. Hmmmmmm...

ARGH. What a ridiculous law, how can they require that of materials handed out by private organizations? Publically funded hospitals are one thing. But I think Planned Parenthood will have something to say about this.
V--not a peep? That's frightening. Just goes to show, they KNOW people won't like it!

V--not a peep? That's frightening. Just goes to show, they KNOW people won't like it! Not a peep at all. I agree, they know that people won't like it. That's why we haven't heard anything about it. It IS frightening. It's scary that Missouri is the last state to know about a law recently passed in our own state. That's ridiculous. I really wish I knew a way to do something about this. *sigh*
